Thieves of Te Rā directed by Te Waiarangi Ratana

Lachie Oliver-Kerby is a Tāmaki Makaurau-based actor, composer, writer, musician, and producer, raised in Hong Kong and Aotearoa.

After graduating from the University of Otago graduate with a Bachelor of Arts studying Theatre and Music, Lachie completed a Diploma in Radio Broadcasting through Whitireia New Zealand and began his career in radio as a writer and voice actor, being nominated for Best New Broadcaster and a Blackie Award at the New Zealand Radio Awards in 2021.

Transitioning into film, television, and theatre as a producer, writer, and composer, Lachie then returned to his roots as a performer, signing with Odd Management acting agency in New Zealand and Brave Artists Management in the United States.

A recipient of a Creative New Zealand grant for development as a composer and actor in 2026, Lachie is currently studying a certificate in Music Theory & Composition through Berklee School of Music, between acting and composing gigs.

Lachie takes great pride in winning Best Original Score at the 2022 New Zealand Web Fest for the webseries he produced, Here If You Need, and is a member of the Screen Music & Sound Guild of New Zealand

Lachie stars as Djared in the upcoming Three series Head Girl, as Leo in Not Even Season 2, and as Edwin in Ana Scotney’s short film Kurī, which premiered at la Biennale di Venezia, Venice Film Festival in 2025.

He also releases music under the goldilock moniker, while creating theatre, film and television (and dumb sketches for social media) with his best mates through their production company, TIME SHIVERS! Their new play On Purpose is set to debut at Basement Theatre in August 2026, after a successful season at Basement Theatre and New Zealand Fringe Festival with their previous offering, F.ART!

Lachie also makes a mean zucchini pasta.
